Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: February 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using smplogs, you agree to these terms. If you are using this on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company.

2. Description of Service

smplogs provides a browser-based tool for analyzing AWS CloudWatch log exports (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS). Log analysis is performed entirely in your browser using a WebAssembly engine. The results are automated insights based on patterns detected in the provided data.

3. Accounts & Authentication

You must sign in via Google or GitHub to use the service. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. Each account is for individual use; sharing credentials is not permitted. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of abuse.

4. Plans & Billing

smplogs offers Free, Pro, and Team plans. Free accounts are limited to 3 analyses per day and 100 MB file sizes. Paid plans are billed monthly through our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, and may be cancelled at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Team Plans

Team plans support up to 10 seats. The team owner is responsible for managing membership and is billed for the plan. When a member is removed or leaves, their plan reverts to Free. Deleting a team reverts all members to the Free plan.

6. Saved Analyses

Pro and Team users may save analysis results (metrics and findings, not raw log content) to our servers. Saved analyses are encrypted at rest and automatically deleted after 30 days. A maximum of 50 analyses are retained per account. We do not guarantee the availability of saved data beyond the 30-day retention window.

7. Browser Extension

Our optional browser extension imports log data from the AWS CloudWatch console directly into the smplogs web app for local analysis. The extension does not transmit log content to any server. Use of the extension is subject to the same terms as the web application.

8. Not Professional Advice

The analysis provided by smplogs is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgment. smplogs is not responsible for any downtime, data loss, or costs incurred (e.g., AWS bills) based on the tool's recommendations.

9. Ownership of Data

You retain 100% ownership of any data you analyze. We claim no rights to your logs or to the analysis results generated from them.

10. Intellectual Property

The smplogs interface, analysis engine (including WASM binaries), and branding are the property of smplogs. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute our analysis modules.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the service in violation of any applicable law; (b) attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication; (c) use automated tools to access the service beyond what the browser extension provides; (d) upload content other than CloudWatch log exports.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, smplogs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
